Comgroup Australia has been awarded a major contract with the Victorian Sate Emergency Service.
As part of the Vic SES Operational Radio and Dispatch project, ComGroup will supply two way radio equipment and vehicle location technology to over 750 mobile and fixed sites in Victoria.
Comgroup Australia Project leader Dan Quagliani says that the award marks another important achievement in supplying key radio systems to agencies for mission critical applications and is a strong vote of confidence for their Australian designed technology.
“Our multi-mode radios will be used to provide a system of cross-band and cross-protocol fixed and mobile repeaters” he said. “This will allow SES staff to utilize their existing UHF analogue portables to communicate with command and control centres across the Telstra SMR network via any nearby In-Vehicle Repeater”.
ComGroup will supply P25 ready equipment, so that future digital secure operation will be supported.
