Royal Papua New Guinea Police Constabulary
Royal Papua New Guinea Police Constabulary's two-way radio system has been upgraded by ComGroup. The technology is used to support command and control operations for the national elections.
The project involves the supply of hand held, mobile and portable radios with an extensive network of fixed, mobile and portable repeater stations. A package of training and support services has also been supplied to ensure a strong level of technical independence.
The system has been designed for rapid deployment into provincial areas and regions as required by the operational needs. All terminal equipment has been supplied as “P25 Ready” so that the digital operation on the APCO P25 digital standard can be deployed in future. |

NSW Police
NSW Police has addressed both their metropolitan and rural requirements with Simoco products supplied by ComGroup. In rural regions, SRM9020 mobiles and SRP9130 portables have been provided for an analogue communications. In metropolitan areas, the SRM9022 mobile with P25 Digital encryption and single control microphone operation has been supplied. As well as P25 Digital capability, these radios are also multimode capable to ensure maximum flexibility for interagency operations and future requirements. |

Queensland Fire & Rescue
Queensland Fire & Rescue use Simoco radios to communicate to all fire-fighting personnel.
Cross band repeaters enables communication between Queensland Fire & Rescue and the Rural Fire.
All radios have been colour coded for easy recognition and operation in the field. Colour coding is now being rolled out nationally as an important Health and Safety issue. |

Rural Ambulance Service
Rural Ambulances have been fitted with Simoco SRM9000 VHF & UHF radios. The latest technology with mobile repeaters in the field allows drivers to have improved radio coverage for reliable communications at all times.
With the ability to clone two portable radios to the mobile repeaters, staff can contact and talk directly to operation centres.
Safety is enhanced with each portable having a Duress facility. GPS has also been fitted to each radio allowing paramedics to accurately report their location in the field and is vital when helicopters and other resources are attending an incident. |

Yellow Cabs and Black & White Cabs - Brisbane
ComGroup provides base site infrastructure, maintains both voice and data repeaters for Yellow Cabs and Black & White Cabs in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
ComGroup also provide maintenance service support to over 1600 taxis, which include mobile data terminals, GPS receivers, meters, two-way radios and vehicle installation systems. |

NSW Transit Authority
The State Transit Authority has a fleet of 1800 buses in the Sydney and Newcastle area, every time a new bus is added to its fleet it is fitted with a Simoco SRM9030 radio.
Every bus is also fitted with a Driver Duress Alarm and secret microphone. This ensures that all occupational Health and Safety issues are met including vehicle location to protect the drivers as well as listening to all activities with immediate access to authorities. |

Mining - Western Australia
ComGroup has been successful in providing a flexible communication solution to mining industries such as Alcoa, Hamersley Iron, Rio Tinto, BHP Mines and Dampier Salt Mines. Over 3500 Simoco Mobile- and Portable radios are supplied to the mining industry in
Western Australia.
When conditions are harsh and communications seem impossible ComGroup have supplied Voting Systems including Solar and
Mains powered sites, Solar powered relocatable bases and Base Site Equipment for access to the best possible signal.
ComGroup also supply asset management, technical help desk, preventive and on call maintenance to the mining industry. |

Comalco - Weipa
ComGroup has designed, supplied and installed a five site MPT trunked radio system solution, including mobile and portables for Comalco and continually expands the radio system with the introduction of new sites, on air alarm system for improved safety and maintenance service. |

City West Water and Barwon Water
Vehicle location has become an important resource management tool as well as an occupational health and safety issue. Job dispatch and information is now all integrated into the vehicles via a PC, which is connected to radios installed in the field.
Time critical information is transferred back to the office via Simoco SRM9000 radios. Management Information is stored in the PC and is transferred via WIFI when the vehicle is returned to the office. By having the office directly in the field, back offices are no longer required which results in improved efficiency; reduced costs and staff are in constant contact with the office. |

Quickskips
An Automatic Vehicle Location System assists Quickskips in tracking vehicles for improved resource management and customer service. Their fleet of trucks are fitted with SRM9000 mobile radios with GPS, which are interfaced to Sigtec Mobile Data Terminals (MDT). The MDT receives delivery and job details from a central dispatcher utilizing Quickskips dispatch software. |

The Australian Formula One Corporation has chosen ComGroup Australia to supply their communications for the Grand Prix
for the last 10 years.
Simoco mobile and portable radios are supplied to all the marshals; control centres, medical services and all vehicle based radio race controls and help make the event a huge success.
