History of our Company
Our Company has a history in Radio Communications dating back to 1939.

PYE – 1939 (Pye radio)
During World War 2 PYE designed and manufactured wireless radios for the military. The first PYE Commercial radio was used by the British Home Office for Police cars in 1947. Pye started to manufacture radios in Australia in 1952 and 1956; Pye provided VHF communications for the Olympic games in Melbourne.
Philips – 1970 ( Philips Radio)
The FM900 was the worlds first processor controlled two-way radio. The Philips design team in Australia designed it. The same design team developed the well-known PRM80 in 1989. It was also manufactured in Australia and distributed
world wide

Simoco – 1996
Simoco in the United Kingdom acquired the Philips two-way radio business in 1996.In Australia Simoco continued to design radios with engineering and software support
ComGroup Australia – 2001
ComGroup was created when a management buyout team acquired the systems and service arm of Simoco Pacific. At the same time TMC Radio was formed when the management team purchased the intellectual property of Simoco’s mobile and portable range of products.
